Merchant onboarding and operations

The Merchant Center manages your store, products and orders. A user account must receive a merchant invitation, submit an application and pass review before gaining access to merchant operations.

Prepare your store information

FieldGuidance
Store nameRequired; use the name customers should see
Business scopeRequired; describe the products or services you sell
Logo URLOptional; use an accessible image address
Short description and introductionExplain product use, delivery and support
Website and public contactOptional; provide details you are willing to publish

Store information is used publicly. Do not put internal administration URLs, payment keys or private credentials in these fields.

Application and review

  1. After receiving an invitation, open Merchant Application from the user menu.
  2. Complete your store information and submit.
  3. Track review progress on the application page. Pending applicants cannot operate products.
  4. If rejected, read the reason, revise and resubmit.
  5. Once approved and active, manage your store through the Merchant Center.

Application history and current merchant status are separate. A previously approved merchant can be disabled, so a historical approval does not establish current operating access.

Updating an approved store profile

Changes to the store name, business scope, website URL or logo URL require another platform review. Removing a website or logo also requires review. Short descriptions, introductions and public contact details can be saved directly.

  • Application and review history in the Merchant Center shows the previous and proposed values, review status and platform feedback.
  • The existing approved information remains public during review. Operating access stays unchanged. Identity fields cannot be changed again until review finishes; other details remain editable.
  • Approval applies the proposed identity information. Rejection keeps the existing information, and you may revise and resubmit.
  • Profile review is separate from merchant activation. Approving a profile change does not reactivate a disabled merchant.

Start operating

  1. Check your public store information.
  2. Configure products, including prices, supply mode, purchase requirements and payment channels. Local codes can also be created from the Inventory Center.
  3. Read Payment and settlement to distinguish buyer charges from merchant revenue.
  4. Check the product, ordering flow and delivery instructions from a buyer’s perspective.
  5. Use Merchant orders and reconciliation to match orders with wallet credits.

A custom application that reads products or places orders for users also needs a separate developer application. Merchant approval does not automatically create an OAuth client.

Current availability

Store profiles, product management, independent card-code inventory, merchant orders and settlement through platform channels are available. The Inventory Center requires an approved and active merchant. Merchant-owned Stripe requires configured fees, a signed Webhook and fee funding; see Payment and settlement. External business orders can use General merchant collection. A wallet balance does not imply withdrawals, bank payouts or self-service refunds are available.
