Common Questions

Why is a product order still unpaid after a successful top-up?

A top-up increases your TDC balance; a product purchase is a separate operation. Find the unpaid order under My Orders, review its amount and continue payment. See Your first visit.

I was charged but the order is still processing. Should I pay again?

No. Processing means payment was confirmed and delivery is pending. Check the order and payment time; report the order number if it remains unchanged. See Orders and delivery.

Is cancelling an order the same as a refund?

No. Cancellation closes an unpaid order. There is no complete user self-service refund flow at present. Contact the merchant or platform for after-sales help with a paid order.

Why can a merchant not add their own Stripe account?

Merchant-owned payment channels are not open. Products currently use supported platform channels and settle net product revenue into the merchant’s TDC wallet. Buyer fees are not merchant revenue. See Payment and settlement.

Why does My Applications not list OAuth consents to revoke?

It currently manages external account connections such as GitHub, not OAuth application consent. Disconnecting an external account is not consent revocation. See Connected accounts.

Should an API amount be divided by 100 or 100 million?

Current product and order amounts use a scale of 100 million. Currency decimal precision controls display, not scaling. See Amounts and data formats for examples and payment status definitions.

Why can I not see Merchant Center or Developer Center?

Both are invitation-only. The application entry appears in the profile menu after an invitation; the corresponding center appears only after approval. Sign in again after a permission change to refresh routes.

Why does the application entry remain after submission?

It remains available so you can track review progress. It disappears after approval, when the permanent center is granted. A rejected application also uses this entry to show the reason and allow resubmission.

Where can I see the TDC credit before paying?

After choosing a channel and amount, the confirmation area shows the expected TDC credit, fee, and total payable. If the expected credit cannot currently be displayed, payment remains unavailable; choose another channel or try again later.

Is client_secret a data encryption key?

No. It authenticates a confidential OAuth client at the token endpoint. HTTPS encrypts transport, access tokens authorize API calls, and a platform JWT signing key signs and verifies tokens.

Why does a public client have no secret?

Browser, mobile, and desktop applications cannot reliably hide an embedded secret. Public clients use Authorization Code + PKCE instead of pretending an embedded client_secret is confidential.

What if a secret leaks?

Rotate it immediately in Developer Center, update the server-side configuration, and stop using the old value. The new secret is shown only once. Never place it in frontend code, logs, or a public repository.

Why can I not request merchant scopes?

Merchant scopes can only bind to the applicant’s own approved and active merchant. Complete merchant onboarding first, or request only user scopes such as openid and profile.
